It is the first SelfMemory modem that can receive E-mails and Voice messages on a mini electronic card (4MB upgradeable to 8 MB) - even whist your PC is switched off.

Use it as a hands-free telephone or answering machine. It picks up faxes and notifies you by phone or pages so you can pick them up from anywhere. With a computer attached, the SmartMemory Pro works as a 56K V90 modem, stores messages and will notify you of incoming e-mails.

The modem's front panel has a 16-character LCD that displays the speed of connection and indicates the presence of the supplied 4MB SmartMedia card and allows user to view emails without switching on the PC.

Fax, message features can also be controlled from the supplied remote control.
